Secretary – Kent Oliver

Kent was born in 1959 in Twin Falls, Idaho where he has lived his whole life. He and his wife Lorrie have been married for 31 years and have two daughters. Tawnya is an interior designer in Juneau, Alaska, and Sara is a Graphic Designer and lives in Bakersfield, California with her husband and son.

Kent retired from the Idaho State Police in 2012 after 32 years of Law Enforcement. He is currently employed part time by Twin Falls County as a Court Bailiff. He is the current President for the Magic Valley ATV Riders Organization which has the most members in the State of Idaho and Secretary for the Idaho State ATV Association. Kent was active in his community as a member of the Twin Falls County Search and Rescue, Canyon Rescue Coordinator/Trainer and rescue diver. He also spent many hours as a coach for his daughters softball teams, soccer teams, and TFHS Swim team parent coordinator.

Kent grew up enjoying the outdoors by hunting, fishing and snowmobiling in Southern Idaho. As he grew up he worked with his father who was active in developing multiple use recreational activities in the Sawtooth National Forest, and various waterways in Southern Idaho. He started riding single tracks when he was young and moved on to an ATV in 1986 when he purchased a Moto 4 for the farm. Kent and Lorrie joined the MVATVR in 2011 so they could meet new riders and explore more trails. They currently have a 2012 CanAm 500 2-up and can be found on the trails most weekends.

Kent started a club year end 100 mile ride called the “YE 100”. He plans to continue making this a yearly event. When not riding, Kent works in his garden and enjoys sharing his produce with family and friends.

Kent is excited to serve on the State ATV Association and getting involved with ATV/UTV issues.
